About the Festival

The Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s DIF is an interactive online event series that aims to shift mindsets and inspire action towards a circular economy by sharing and exploring disruptive ideas and stories across a range of topics.

Our Contribution

For the 3rd year the Stars Are Circular Foundation is contributing to the Disruptive Innovation Festival.

Together with kids, parents, teachers, family, neighbours we want to answer the question: how adults and children can work together, change mindsets and behaviours to become good stewards of our precious planet?

How can you participate?

Think Global Act Local
WORKSHOP to collaborate and brainstorm ideas

Saturday 9th Nov 14:30 – 16:30

We invite the citizens of Utrecht to tackle the hot topic of climate change. Greta Thunberg reminds us: our house is on fire! How are adults responsible and how are kids responsible? Let’s explore each others perspectives and then work together on a plan and a toolbox to execute the plan. Enough words, we need action.

Make sure the RSVP for that event. Because we want a diverse group and a mix of adults and kids, we invite the adults who RSVP to bring their son, daughter, niece, nephew, junior friend with them (age between 9-15).

This workshop will be in both English (plenary and breakouts) and Dutch (breakout).

We will make sure it is going to be a fun afternoon! Drinks and snacks will be provided.

We give priority to participants that can attend both events.

LIVE SESSION
to present and discuss the workshop results

Wednesday 13th Nov 18:45 – 20:00

During this LIVE session we will have an offline and online discussion with the international ThinkDIF audience. Equipped with our insights from the previous session we will take it a step further and see how we can commit to action in Utrecht and in doing so be an example for cities around the world.
